Submitted by mysterydawg on Fri, 01/01/2010 - 10:40 Congratulations: You’re our one-thousandth customer! by Mark Robinson Within a sudden blizzard of people, his surroundings erupted into life; sirens and flashing lights above the stores entrance ricochet as two television cameras thrust into his face, while a shower of glittering confetti rained down.  Some familiar-looking newscaster jostled for space amongst the influx, a microphone levelled like a loaded weapon.  A clutch of balloons head toward the ceiling and, all the dazzled man in the balaclava could think about was the nine-millimetre concealed in his jacket pocket and Charlie sat waiting out at the kerbside, engine running, in their getaway car.
